Skyscraper Museum

This is the perfect place for those with an engineering or architectural type of mindset. Explore how history, technology and construction techniques have influenced the buildings of today. The museums many exhibitions are sure to amaze and present you with some new knowledge.

Sony Wonder Technology Lab

Are you one of those technology enthusiasts? Or have you ever wondered how some of the gadgets of today came about? At the Sony Wonder Technology Lab you can participate in producing a film, developing a video game, programming a real robot, and even playing with some cool gadgets you have not seen before. In New York City, you can find a four-floor, totally hands-on playground featuring the latest technology. The best part about this museum is that admission is free!

Location: 56th Street and Madison Avenue, in the Sony Plaza Public Arcade

Hours: Tuesday – Saturday: 10AM-5PM; Sunday: Noon-5PM. Closed Mondays and major holidays

Museum of the City of New York

The Museum of the City of New York has one main purpose: to bring you back to New York City’s roots. To the time of the Big Apple’s earliest days of elevated trains, bustling harbors, and top hat-and-tails dinner galas. The exhibitions explore New York’s current infrastructure, fashions, landmarks, and culture.

Location: 1220 5th Avenue (at 103rd Street)

Hours: Tuesday-Sunday 10AM–5PM

Admission: Rates are $9 Adults, $5 Seniors and students (suggested prices). Sundays 10AM–12PM FREE.

Guggenheim Museum

From the very second you arrive, the sheer architecture of the building is sure to make an impression. If that doesn’t catch your attention, its collection of classic and modern art is sure to please your sights.

Hours: Open Mon-Wed,Fri,Sun 10am-5:30pm; Sat 10am-7:30pm

Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum

Located in the heart of New York City, this popular attraction brings people from all parts of the world. There is no other place where you can chat with world leaders, see your favorite movie star, and even catch a picture with your favorite celebrity. However, these come with a catch, a very “waxy” one that is, as these are wax figures. However, they are sure to come to live in your pictures and make everyone jealous!

Hours: Sunday-Thursday 10AM–8PM; Friday-Saturday 10AM– 10PM.
