Experience one of the highest nightlife gathering places in NYC. Read our full review of Sky Room to get the insider’s scoop.

Sky Room is situated on the 33rd and 34th floors of the Fairfield Inn and suites by Marriott. Like its name hints, this location is truly a “room” in the sky. It has spectacular 360 degree views of Manhattan and the Hudson River. It is a pristine location for people looking to enjoy some drinks, catch up with friends and co-workers, and have fun all while being on top of New York City.

The Crowd

Location is everything but the crowd that frequents the place either makes it or breaks it. At Sky Room one can expect to have a very varied crowd according to the night and event. It is advised that everyone checks with a promoter or the venue itself to see what happening on that particular night. Overall, Friday nights seem best as the space fills up nicely and there is plenty of individuals to mingle with. This Friday night crowd is stylish and well dressed so the phrase “dress to impress” can certainly be applied here.

The Atmosphere & Music

At Sky Room, one can expect a great atmosphere and music to go along with it. Sky Room features some of New York City’s best DJs that play a mixture of sounds that produce an ecstasy-like blend of new tunes. These tune slowly distribute throughout a well lit space featuring different neon lights. If you are on the top floor of Sky Room, you will be welcomed by low seating couches and tables. Everything at Sky Room is tailored to comfort.

The Sky Room Experience

Overall, Sky Room has been one of our favorite rooftop lounges. It has 2 floors of space available and amazing views that are suitable for a night-out or a romantic fun date. Sky Room is specially great during the summer but do not let that stop you from coming during the winter – heated areas and indoor space is available. Another major concern to most people is the service by the staff and bartenders. At Sky Room, we have had no complaints. The bartenders mix drinks well and the staff is available if help is needed.
