Restaurants. After checking out different parts of the city, taking pictures and doing some shopping, its time to grab a bite. You need food that hits the spot and appeals to your tasted buds in more ways than one. Regardless if you are a tourist or a NYC native, you are looking for something new and hard to find anywhere else. Here are a few places to check out:

  • A casual dinner. Finding a casual place that has great food and a chic atmosphere is not hard. But finding something fun and different from the average place can be. Here are our choices. Place with great drinks, food, and even some good music!

With an atmosphere unlike any other, City Winery brings into the city a glorious blend of flavors. As its name states, this is a winery in New York City. It also compliments its wines with food and an amazing sound system/stage. If you catch them on the weekend, the music is the topping and the perfect addition to this already unique experience.

ABC Kitchen.

A Jean-Georges backed restaurant with a trendy and open atmosphere. Apart from its beautiful space, the food is outstanding. Everything from the entrees to the main course will have you craving for more. As always, the freshest and local organic products are infused into their cuisine.

Locanda Verde.

A casual, fun, moderately priced restaurant. A simple Italian taverna in TriBeCa serving the heartwarming flavors of Italian cuisine. The place has a very open and exposed feel that in addition to its unique lighting sets a comforting mood; the food and service are as casual in the same way as the space.

  • A special night. A casual night is great but if we are having a special night with a group of people or our other half we need to kick it up a notch. At this stage finding the perfect place is even more crucial as this is going to be the highlight of the night. Here are a few of our choices to make that special date successful:

The Central Park Boathouse.

Located in Central Park, this is restaurant is a beautiful blend of nature and class. With outdoor and indoor dining this space produces an airy and open feel. Tables are carefully decorated and the outdoor dining turns very romantic as the sun sets. With candles lit and a great menu of delicious plates, this place is sure to make your night special.

Per Se.

Our editor’s pick for great restaurants. This is the perfect place to go on a special night. Everything from the view to the food is on point. Very worthy of its 3 star Michelin rating. As with all upscale places, dress attire is mandatory. Nothing better than a great looking restaurant with great looking people, service, and food.

Daniel.

There is no better way to describe Daniel other than as mentioned on their site, “an elegant and vibrant ambiance, gracious service and a delectable menu in the heart of Manhattan’s Upper East Side.” Something different from the usual and noteworthy for special occasions.
