Bars. New York City is home to over 2,000 bars! There are plenty to go around and explore. The drinks vary from place to place and there is always a place that will make your night out special. So let’s grab some drinks and start exploring. Here are our recommendations:


Located inside the St. Giles New York, Lex Bar is a chic and stylish lounge. The mahogany bar and low velvet sofas are inviting and compliment the social-like setting produced. The wide selection of drinks are the perfect addition to let loose and have fun. As with all bars, their specialty drinks are best. The venue comes alive on the weekends with the addition of music by some great NYC DJs.

230 Fifth


As the summer begins and the nights get longer, this is the perfect place to go for a great view of the NYC skyline. The rooftop bar wraps around the outside and has multiple seating areas. Drinks are available at the bar inside or outside. If the night is cold, the service is even more memorable as they hand out cozy red robes to all their patrons. Overall something different and off the ground!

Neighborhood: Flatiron


Located in SoHo, this small and well crafted bar is the perfect place to stop by for a few drinks. Although very small, the atmosphere is is cozy and welcoming. A tiny stage and an old school mic reside in the back screaming for people to sing some karaoke tunes. There is also a tiny booth gallery with some interesting pieces.

Within the Carlyle Hotel lies a bar that takes you back to the time to classier days when men where gentleman and women were always regarded as ladies. The decor adds to this “back in time feel” and its the perfect place to stop in for a romantic date or before a night out. Experience Bemelmans bar alongside good company and your night is set.

Clubs. After getting a few drinks and starting out the night, we need some place to socialize and have fun. Thankfully, we are in New York City, home to the most lavish venues. In particular, NYC’s clubs are some of the best in the world. Each club opens its doors with a new revolutionary niche to attract people. Tough doors and expensive tabs are common for many but not all. Groups of gentleman should always plan to spend a little more than the ladies as the ratio is enforced throughout. Large groups should invest in getting a table, as this usually saves money. It also contributes to a night of enjoyment and great service. For those who don’t mind spending a little more on drinks and want a younger crowd, this is it. Avenue has a unique atmosphere that is composed of a blend of music and the classy, stylish, and chic crowd that frequents here. As with most of the upscale places, the decor is lavish and fancy. Avenue is a great place to go if you are willing to spend some cash and want to do a little dancing.

Hip-hop and house music separated among 2 floors, the lights and its “green” atmosphere adds appeal and is admired by its incoming patrons. Something different in the meatpacking district and a favorite among stylish, upbeat, good-looking crowds. The space is adequate and depending on the night, its a great place to do a little dancing.
